Tokyo Midtown is a 6.1 million square foot, mixed-use development project designed by SOM and completed in 2007 on a 17 acre site at the heart of Tokyo's Roppongi district.
The complex includes Midtown Tower, one of Tokyo's tallest buildings; The Galleria, an elegant 5 story, 764,000 square foot shopping and dining complex; the Suntory Museum of Art; 21_21 Design Sight, a design museum created by architect Tadao Ando and fashion designer Issey Miyake; 107 luxury apartments; and the world-class Ritz-Carlton Tokyo hotel.
