Nihonbashi Revitalization
Mitsui Fudosan’s roots extend back more than 300 years in Nihonbashi - the town at the heart of Tokyo, which has flourished as a major center of culture and commerce since the Edo Period.
As a sincere expression of our love and appreciation for Nihonbashi, the "Nihonbashi Revitalization Plan” unites government, business, and the local community on a mission to preserve Nihonbashi’s beautiful historic elements, while revitalizing the area’s landscape, infrastructure, and liveliness.

Mixed-Use Redevelopment
The plan includes a wide range of projects, including a large-scale mixed-use redevelopment, which includes offices, retail areas, apartments, and a multi-purpose hall; the restoration of the beautiful 1,100 year-old "Fukutoku Shrine"; the construction of Fukutoku no Mori, a richly landscaped public plaza; as well as numerous infrastructure, energy efficiency, and streetscape improvements. We are confident that the Nihonbashi Revitalization Plan will preserve the cultural treasures handed down by our ancestors and reenergize the neighborhood for generations to come.
